@bananaboi864 Congrats! I’m instate non autoadmit and trying for Cs as well. Applied priority and still waiting. A lot of my friends have already gotten in and I’m starting to get stressed. 1500/36 scores. 3.91 UW, 4.35 W. Lots of ECs related to CS and decent leadership. Ok essays. I just hope I get in, way too stressed!
Good luck to everyone else who haven’t gotten in yet And congrats to those who have been admitted!
@Ranipetgirl I applied RD and got in yesterday. A lot of my friends who applied by the priority deadline still haven’t heard yet either. Im kinda confused about how UT’s evaluation system works lmao.
Is anyone here applying for Political Communication in Moody? I feel like it’s a relatively obscure major and that would boost my chances of getting accepted but i have yet to hear back and I applied August 8th.
Hi aggiekak --agree! also take the UGPA with a grain of salt!!! In this forum, I see many of the posters with very high GPA or even perfect GPA or high ranks with average SAT (anything in the low 1400s) …that should give you a pause!! So keep the hopes alive…different school and school districts --learning completely different grading systems within TX schools!! Plenty of grade inflation going on!
Priority and Regular applications are only a month apart with regular due on 12/1. All priority applicants who had high stats probably received decisions in December. So at this point, I’m inclined to think that everyone else (remaining priority and all regular) are in one pool and will be evaluated as such. Which is why we are seeing some regular applicants getting their decisions in last night’s wave.
OOS McCombs applicant here, getting very worried! UT is my top choice and I’m starting to feel anxious that I haven’t heard back yet. 35 ACT, 3.86 UW, ranked 41/382, Varsity softball team captain and president of the German Honor Society
I applied priority and some of my friends who applied regular decision have gotten in? Anyone else have this problem?? I applied for bio as my first choice major OOS 33 ACT 4.7 WGPA and 3.98 unweighted.
@aggiekak@grlgotexas I would like to clarify, As a mother I believe my daughter’s essays and short answers were strong ( they were not written or edited by me or anyone else) but of course I would think they were great, I am her mother! I am in total agreement, an applicants authentic voice must come through. It is is very easy to spot an essay written by a 50 year old. I have followed this forum for months and soaked up every drop of information from those accepted but always had more questions. I sincerely apologize if my post came across arrogant. I wanted to share as much information as possible to be helpful not hurtful.
