I am wondering the same thing. They said students would be hearing over the next few days yesterday but I am wondering if they will release decisions since it is the weekend. @weirdfishes52
I’ve got to say, I’m very unhappy with UT’s admissions process. There’s just absolutely no rhyme or reason behind it, and it’s just flat out stressful. Yes, I know – all admissions processes are going to be stressful, but for someone who applied right after the application was initially released, and still has yet to hear anything, it’s just a horrible experience. Especially when you read about how others have applied far after you had, had very similar statistics, and heard already.

Absulutely agree with you. By far the worst process of all the schools my son has applied to.
Joining in agreement. This is annoying. I’m worried the ones that hear Jan 31 are denials, because I feel pessimistic right now. I’m a Longhorn but it’s my last choice for my son, for a few reasons. Still, I am hoping he will be able to choose…but am discouraged. Let’s hope the next two weeks fly by!

disagree. i would rather take a chance to find out sooner than for everyone to have to wait until 2/1.
Everyone in my friend group who hasn’t gotten accepted yet all have UT as a reach school.
I almost wish they’d wait until 2/1 for everyone. That way no one is stressed out wondering if they’ll get in as they watch others accepted. I’m stressed following all of you. ? And I wouldn’t be pessimistic. A good friend’s son got in last year on 1/31 (engineering) and if you read last year’s thread, many others accepted too. Have faith and good luck!
@txaggiemom Thank you. My son OOS got accepted into CS also on Jan. 10, so far, nothing in the mail yet.
has anyone heard news on the forty acres scholarship? im worried since i have yet to be accepted and the scholarship says notice is in late jan/early feb
Y’all! I got into COLA for my major and my honors college of choice! OOS, SAT score 1290 (there’s hope for you yet if your test scores are sort of lackluster), lots of good extracurriculars with leadership positions that relate somewhat with my intended career path. Hook 'em!!!

@UTWannabe23 No. I got in with yesterday’s wave but I didn’t know until today because I’m currently in the mountains with sketchy wifi.
Anyone know when will the next wave be coming out?
