University of Texas at Austin Class of 2024 Admissions / Preparation

Has anyone heard of any acceptances into the college of education? in state, OOS, auto, non auto??

Ever since applying, the portal showed 4 recommendations under the admissions tab; one disappeared tonight …any significance? (Housing, Texas Exes and Housing still show)

You’re right. I think the missing one is the documents upload. Since the deadline has passed, docs can’t be uploaded anymore.

Doc. upload is available, to the right of that section.

Ok. Thx. Also, all 4 buttons under recommendation is there today. ?

Still only 3 buttons present… 4th disappeared yesterday; wish was indicative of imminent decision…wish UTA was more transparent (esp. for OOS, not graced with auto-admit). I show housing, Texas Exes and Optional material … I cannot remember what the 4th tab was; please advise.

I had a button under ‘recommended’ that said ‘scholarship interest form’ that is now gone today. Maybe that is the one missing on yours as well??

Your son has great numbers but from what I’ve seen there are a significant number of extremely highly competitive applicants applying to this school. Your son also missed the early deadline. I remember talking to an admission officer. He said you can apply whenever you want up to March (if I remember correctly) but those applied before early deadline will hear from the school first.

@Luvmygirlz Thoughts to as why disappeared? Are you OOS? When did you apply? Applied Oct1 to CNS, OOS.

I wonder if it disappeared because maybe the scholarship interest deadline passed? I truly don’t know. My daughter is in-State auto admit just waiting to hear on McCombs.

@icedmachiato Thank you … Two of his HS friends who applied to CS (non-auto) that has similar #s to his still haven’t heard from UTA either - one applied after Nov 1 and the other in October. We are all in-state btw.

I remembered 2 yrs ago, my nephew was top 10/800 (from same HS) and he got notified of his admission to biomedical eng (BME) around the Christmas time frame. Will be a long wait for sure - for me that is - my son is like whatever - I will go OOS if needed.

@luvmygirlz @bh8690 We still have 3 Recommended things: housing, document upload, and Texas Exes scholarship. Scholarship interests form is the one that was removed after he submitted his.

For the Texas Exes scholarship, when you expanded it said “Although you will receive a confirmation email upon successful completion of the application, this MyStatus message will continue to be displayed through February 15.”

@bh8690 My daughter had the same thing happen and we could not remember what the 4th was either. We were also hoping that meant a decision was coming but nothing yet…

The 4th one for me shows Admission Status. Expanding the link it states I accepted on 10/20. I was auto-admit.

Has anyone been accepted OOS McCombs?

@icedmachiato Just a follow up: the friend who applied in late October just got accepted into CS on Friday, 12/6 - my son showed me the text and the screenshot. The friend has very similar stats to my son - they were all in the same AP computer science classes, he is also ranked top 7% (2 or 3 spots below), and has a 1550 on the SAT. So that give us hope that my son has a good chance to be admit into CS. He just have to wait a little longer to get the notifications.

Does anyone think there will be decisions this week?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows how competitive the College of Education is for freshman admission? I am an OOS applicant that applied to the Kinesiology (Exercise Science) major. Any information at all is appreciated, thank you!!
