Last year it looks like many people received Thursday evening after break and Friday morning.

On LOR’s; his school writes very comprehensive and personalized LOR’s. As a smaller school, the faculty gets to know the students pretty intimately and my guess (because I don’t get to see them) is it shows in the recs they get. I would think the LOR’s help greatly, especially on the PAI (personal achievement index) side of UT’s admissions process.

@rola23 In all seriousness, reading through last year’s posts, it seems that there was a small wave of top-tier candidates accepted on 1/10 (which was a Thursday last year), so I think there might be a chance for something similar.
Yes, last years first wave(after New Years) came around 8:30pm on Thursday(1/10). Based on last year’s forum, most waves seem to occur on Friday.

Was anyone else’s admissions portal appear to be broken at moments today? I kept getting error messages saying heavier than usual load on the servers? Sign of an incoming wave?

Btw, TAMU portal was down this morning as well. I guessed lots of people thinking decisions for both schools are coming out today … Crossing my fingers and toes …
@rola IIRC UT has an internal policy to not separate twins. I think this is grounds for successful appeal if one is denied. The appeal windows are tight so note the dates.

The status just got updated now. Earlier status was- your file is complete. Today the status is - Your file is under review… we are OOS. any clue ?
OOS … been in that status since Oct. 5.
Hmm. we applied late Nov. May be they just picked the file for review. Not sure.
