I’m an international student and I also received it. I doubt it means anything - it’s probably sent out to anyone who hasn’t submitted the FAFSA.
we did get that as well. That the FAFSA was received which is odd, it was submitted a while ago. They should have had it for quite some time.
As I recall financial aid packages don’t come out until March.

No one knows if there will be a wave. This year’s notifications are not following the same pattern as last year (and last year didn’t follow the previous year). It all just seems like reading tea leaves.
For those you aren’t sure what the dates actually are…
For sure Priority applicants (by November 1st) will receive notification of acceptance, rejection or deferral to Regular Decision by February 1st. Regular Decision applicants will hear by March 1st.
In- State Auto Admits have likely already received their notification of being admitted to the University (75% of Freshman Class) and are waiting on the notification of admission to their first choice major.
Out of State will hear both at the same time (admission to Uni/Major).
We are sitting in the same frustrating waiting game, but at least there is a definitive date of when we will hear… February 1st or March 1st.
I, for one, appreciate hearing before that date, if possible.
Did everyone receive the email about applying for financial aid by Jan 15th?

I was just popping in to say that two of my son’s classmates (not auto admits) were accepted to UT Austin this evening. Lots of celebrating going on!

My son just got admitted to the McCombs School of Business. This has been a long wait. In-state, auto admit.
Wondering the same. DD is OOS McCombs applicant and is waiting.
One of my sons is also accepted to his first-choice major EECE today … 5 weeks after his brother’s acceptance. Certainly a much longer wait.
