That is correct. However, if like my daughter for example, your higher math score is on your overall lower SAT score, I would have to guess that it is considered in the holistic review for your major… engineering in my daughter’s case.
Wow - I have not been exploring other parts of that site at all outside of the application status section. Are you seeing classes in there or just My Classes as an option and a blank page underneath?
@HokieCrazy
on the left side of the page it says “My Classes” with nothing under the heading, on the right side of the page there is a large menu of links under Academics
Accepted
OOS
Moody, Journalism
3.7 UW
32 ACT
Hope everyone hears good news soon
@linbad ok - that’s what I see as well.
@linbad, we see the same thing. I am listed as an engineering major so I got excited when I saw engineering scholarships under academics.
What is everyone’s plan B, if they don’t get into UT or get their choice major? Is anyone considering other schools besides A&M?
Be extremely cautious of “new members” who offer crazy theories about predicting admission. It isn’t nice
My son got in OOS Physics, first choice
33 ACT
4.0 unweighted, 4.6 weighted
lots of honors and APs
@NJdadEngineer I submitted my application right before the priority deadline (Nov. 1) on October 30 from NJ
@beach1234 I was pretty sure that was a ■■■■■.
I’m also from Nj but still waiting!
I know this has been asked before I haven’t seen any answers so I thoughts I ask again…
Doesn’t anyone have any idea when honors acceptances will be released?
Yes @gready2020 , we have a Plan B. My student has applied to 6 schools and UT is one of them. Most schools outside of Texas won’t respond until March/April. We currently have one other acceptance so just eager to hear on UT. The in-state tuition is quite desirable! Otherwise, outstanding applications span public and private, both instate and out of state.
@Boogie818 Not sure if my notes are correct, but I have that Dean’s Honors will also be released by end of January. If I had a guess, I’d say that general admissions will complete all decisions before end of month, and then Honors will sneak in on the 31st (a Friday). That way, people aren’t getting Honors notifications before admissions decisions…however, I’m using logic, and that rarely works.
@HokieCrazy
did you get accepted?
@amogh97 My son is still waiting. OOS for CS.
decisions came out at 7 ET last night… Should we expect another wave same time tonight?
I am OOS
not sure not sure but decisions have been getting released all day today so idk! Hopefully soon tho still waiting OOS!
