University of Texas at Austin Class of 2024 Admissions / Preparation

Still under review (international student). Is there anyone else in same boat?

For those accepted, when will we be hearing about a Housing Contract and Financial aide? I am assuming after March 1st??

The Housing Portal confirms that contracts will start being offered on March 1st, yes… as for financial aid, who can say? I would think March as well, but MyStatus doesn’t offer any definite clues.

Have you accepted your offer of admission to UT? Housing contracts are sent to students who have paid their enrollment deposit.

Yes I have. Admission Status states you have accepted admission on mm/dd/yy.

Financial Aid states “check back in 2 weeks” for the last 6 weeks. Just making sure everyone else is in a similar state. I guess everything will take off after the admission deadline of March 1st. This is all new to me, so when there is a lull time, I worry that I am missing something.

Just seeing if anyone has received a housing contract yet(non-Honors).

Thanks.

Still nothing from financial aid. I guess it is working to cut down on the number of students who decide to go there since they take so long compared to everywhere else.

@UT2024 students in honors haven’t received anything either. I think it is a myth that students in honors will receive anything early. They simply have priority for the Honors Quad.

nothing for us yet either

When did UT start giving out RD acceptances? Should I be worried if I haven’t received one yet??

The housing contracts won’t start to go out until around March 1st, according to UT.

Some admits have received news of merit awards (via calls and emails), but I think it takes a while to reflect in CASH.

@delocalisedpi same…I haven’t received a decision yet either…I am so scared right now because I am an international student and the admission rate for internationals is so low…

Is there anyone OOS/international still awaiting admission decision? We submitted on 11/29 and still awaiting the decision ?

Same!! I applied on 11/15 and it’s starting to bother me. Let’s hope for the best and best of luck to y’all!

If you’re an international applicant, and you’re still waiting, the decision date is on or around March 1st. So, soon, very soon you’ll have a decision! Good luck!

Two weeks ago, son received a letter from Cockrell School of Engineering for what amounts to a full ride ($30K/year for 4 years) merit based scholarship.

Did others get an email about the Jefferson Scholars program? Anyone know anything about it?

Two days before the end date and still have not received a decision yet…I am so stressed out right now, it seems like everyone has already received their admission offers. Does the later it get means a rejection from the university for an international student?

Same here!!! I am so worried

@hurricane314 It APPEARS to be six class additional concentration that they offer students in engineering, science and business (and perhaps some of the more professionally oriented degrees) that gives students more of a traditional liberal arts experience to augment their educations. It’s great books and classics so I think it is going to be a pretty rigorous program with lots of papers. I have no doubt it will make student better rounded. My son got an invite and he’s in as a business major. He’s not sure he will go for it because he plans to double major in something outside of business and he’s worried that additional six class requirement could interfere with that.

@delocalisedpi I just got an email from ut austin saying that they are still reviewing international applications and decisions will be out by the end of March 9…I guess we will have to wait a bit longer if decisions doesn’t come out today… Best of luck to us that are still waiting!!!
