University of Toronto, maybe??

Hello, I am currently going into my second year at a 2 year community college in the US (Illinois, specifically). I had to go to a community college because I simply could not afford to dive straight into a 4 year college or university. I have an overall 3.5 GPA, and am aiming for a 3.75 by the time I graduate from CC. I am taking Honors courses as well. I am extremely interested in transferring to the University of Toronto (St. George) to pursue a Bachelor’s in International Relations. I’ve looked all over their website and they don’t have specific entrance requirements for transfer students from the US, so I was wondering what my chances might be, if I had a chance at all? I’ve seen various posts about UT, some saying it’s easy for international students to get in, while others say it’s incredibly difficult. Honestly, any help at all would be appreciated as I really do want to transfer here, if at all possible.

There will be little or no financial aid from University of Toronto for an American student. International tuition is now about C$35,000/year.

Your GPA looks good for admission though.

Is that Canadian or US dollars? I get that it’s expensive either way, just curious.

Here’s the admission requirements for transfers - http://www.artsci.utoronto.ca/futurestudents/admissions/transfer#1

And tuition - http://www.provost.utoronto.ca/link/students/fees17/intl_as.htm which will be CAD$46K next year.

Toronto is quite an expensive city to live in. Count on CAD$25K-30K for living expenses or $20K-25K if you find a roommate.

C$ means Canadian dollars.
