University Of Toronto

What is the difference between the 3 campuses, and which of the 3 U of T campuses is better for International Business?

@MYOS1634

The main Campus is the best one, the hardest one to get into, and the one where grading is so harsh.
Scarborough’s not bad.

St. George is the downtown campus and is home to the Rotman Commerce program. The Mississauga and Scarborough campuses are each about 31 km away from the downtown campus, in opposite directions, firmly in suburbia.

@bouders since i’ve gotten in for a business course, would that mean i would have to travel to the st george’s campus for my classes from scarborough?
how is st george’s better? in terms of infrastructure or professors or both?

@Foisa1 What is the name of the program you got into? If it is based at the Scarborough campus, then that is where your classes will be. Many people apply to the Rotman Commerce program which is at the St. George campus, but it sounds like that’s not where your acceptance is.

I grew up in Scarborough, but live closer to downtown now. The Scarborough campus is over an hour from downtown, by public transit or by car. There is as much infrastructure as would be expected in a residential community. The St. George campus is in the heart of downtown Toronto and is surrounded by shopping, condos, hotels, restaurants, museums, financial headquarters of major corporations, provincial and municipal government offices, hospitals etc etc. http://www.utoronto.ca/campuses

The St. George campus is where you want to be. The others are satellite campuses and, rightly or wrongly, they do not have the same reputation as the St. George campus.

@bouders The name of the course is Co-op and MIB (management and international business)
@alwaysamom but what’s the reason for st.george to have a higher or the others having a lower status?

@Foisa1 Your program is at Scarborough. The original and well known campus is St. George. St. George is in downtown Toronto, surrounded by restaurants, entertainment, and businesses. There is very little outside the Scarborough campus. The threshold for admission to the Scarborough campus is much lower than the threshold for St. George.

@MYOS1634
I learn that you seem to know a lot about three different campuses of University of Toronto according to your response. :slight_smile: I also have the same question as Foisa1. I want to is there any difference between these three campuses except the location and surroundings? Are there any differences between teaching quality and professor level? Will the professors or other staff in Scarborough and Mississauga campuses less adequate than those of St. George? :slight_smile:
