My calculus teacher is from Utah, he says it is in Salt Lake, it has a good medical and engineering school, a good ski team,

I don't mean to be offending in anyway, but it is guaranteed that you will be approached by the Mormon student base as part of their missionary work. My dad went to college at Weber State (in Ogden) for literally less than a week because everytime he had free time Mormon students were trying to "convert" him (for a lack of a more forgiving word) and he couldn't stand it. Think of him what you may, but I'm just telling you like it is. But if you can put up with that, then go for it. Some of the best skiing in the US is literally 30 minutes away - I just came back there from winter break and we got 2 feet of powder the first two days - it was amazing. Anyways, that's my info for yah.

Well, being a non mormon and living in utah my entire life i would say what crypto said isn't neccessarily true. I have been asked to convert by mormons on only one occassion. The only person who really attempted to convert me were actual missionaries which are pretty easy to identify and avoid since they wear nametags that say they are missionaries. All I really had to do was make it be known that I was not interested in their religion (or any religion for that matter). I wouldn't let the mormon thing affect your choice to much. I would say the biggest issue for me living in utah, is that everything pretty much shuts down on sundays. In salt lake though there are alot more non-mormons than there are mormons, as opposed to where i live, sandy, which is probably 90% mormon. Based on my experiences in Utah i will be going to college out of state, this is more for a change in scenery than it is because of mormons. I do know alot of non-mormons who love living in Utah because there is no traffic on sundays and no one is up on the mountains skiing. Crypto i think the reason your father was approached by the mormons had more to do with being in ogden, which is heavily populated by mormons.
