Those 2 are my top choices but I can't decide which one to go to. I'm planning to major in economics. Help me choose :) Any help is appreciated!

So UVA has like the #2 business school pretty easy choice.

Someone majoring in economics may not be in the business school or be doing anything necessarily within the business school.

Carnegie Mellon (Tepper) comes in at #19 for economics, UVa comes in at #28.

And, for clarification, UVa has the #5 undergraduate business school, whereas Carnegie has the #9.

Academically, there doesn’t seem to be much, if any, difference between the two.

It should come down to personal preferences. E.g. do you prefer Mellon’s campus or UVa’s?

Yes, at UVa the economics major is not inside the Commerce School.

CMU probably would have smaller classes, while UVa would offer a more well-rounded college experience including socializing, activities, sports, etc.
