University of washington Admission

Hello,

Im trying to write up my application to University of Washington (Seattle) but im just really confused on some of the topics. One topic is talking about diversity and how you might bring cultural diversity to the campus. Im Iranian, but im not sure how i can bring diversity to the campus with my culture. Im trying to make this essay and application really good so my chances can be good as well, i need to get accepted to University of washington.

How do you currently “bring culture and diversity” to the high school you attend in Seattle? You interact with people who are not Iranian right? I hope so. Are these exchanges enlightening to them? your teachers? Your point of view in a classroom discussion? Issues of culture and language ever come up?

Ask your non-Iranian friends how knowing you and your background “brings” them culture and diversity – culture and diversity that they did not have before knowing you. Ask your favorite instructors. I’m sure you’ll get plenty of information to craft a good essay.

Also, please speak with your guid counselors about schools besides UW. You place a lot of pressure on yourself. There are viable and affordable alternatives. Make sure you have these lined up. Your GCs can suggest great options. Elsewhere you stated you wish to go into the medical field. You can achieve that at places besides UW.
