University of Washington vs. UC Berkeley for Pre-med (and my other college needs)?

UW:
-Pros: In-state tuition, in a city that I like and am familiar with, highly ranked medical school, has large student body
-Cons: An overwhelming majority of people that I know will end up going to the school (and I know A LOT of people. This isn't a good thing for me at all because I'd like to start new and I'm not particularly interested in seeing any of them around. I realize that in a large student body I can ignore them if I want but still), social scene is heavily focused on greek, doesn't have a strong presence of the minority population that I am socially interested in (that, and I already know everybody who is), boring weather, I already said this but for emphasis NO SENSE OF STARTING ANEW FOR ME!

UC Berkeley:
-Pros: pretty much fulfills all the cons of UW
-Cons: super competitive pre-med program with lots of weeding, limited aid, no medical school and generally I can't find any information that tells me that UC Berkeley tops UW's medicine program.

I would choose UC Berkeley in a heartbeat if it could take care of those two things. Do you guys mind helping me out here? Thanks!

If you want to eventually go to medical school I would recommend UW.

Why?

 1. UC berkley is infamous for grade deflation. It is also much more competitive. You want as high GPA/MCAT as possible
 2. UW is instate tuition, assuming you’re not rich medical school is very expensive
