Hi all, I am an upcoming Running Start student at Highline and I am wondering if earning an Associates of Science, General Engineering will give me an edge when applying to UW, specifically their engineering program.
Hi! I am also a Running Start student. Obviously, I am not an expert, but UW has said that receiving the AS degree doesn’t impact admissions that much; it’s mostly the courses you take.
However, they do mention on their website that you can place out of up to 2 years of classes at the SoE, meaning that you could get your engineering degree in as few as 2 years.
Just another quick note, at one of their live “Husky Preview” session, they recently mentioned that the admit rate is ~40% for in-state students.
