Would it be alright if I used the University of Chicago's supplement essay question "Find x" as the topic of my choice for the personal essay in the Common Application? I'm not applying to the University of Chicago, though. How would the Universities I'm applying to, feel about it?

Thank you!

Someone asked a similar question on another thread, and I responded that I thought it would be plagerism to take someone else’s idea for a topic. Other people disagreed with me though. I believe the other admissions people will know about the prompt and know you did not come up with it on your own. Is there some way you can change it enough to make it your own?
