When applying to jobs and stuff, and they ask for an unofficial transcript, what do you guys use? Do you just copy-paste the first part of your DPR?

Yes, that's what I do. Just ctrl+A, then cut and paste it to a .doc, and finally convert to .pdf format.

Go to Murphy and request it.

I prefer my way.

The problem I have with the DPR way, which I've been using, is that it uses short-hand ways for referring to classes you've taken. So I imagine it's hard for a non-UCLA person to interpret a lot of the course names on the DPR.

But I was just wondering if everyone was doing it the way I did...

UCLA should really put a "Unofficial Transcript" option on URSA. I've actually submitted a couple copies of my DPR as unofficial transcripts because I had to submit them electronically to the summer programs I was applying to. We'll see how it goes.

I used to do that. When you submit your txt file through the profile creater, it comes out very nice when viewed by the HR. There has been no complaints so far in my job submittal about that, but to be more professional, read the below ...

I recommend that you request a copy of your transcript at Murphy. Open the envelope, and scan it at a high quality data sender / fax. Create it as a PDF, and the HR shouldn't have any questions.

BoelterHall, what part of post#3 did you not understand? Was it necessary to repeat it or were you just egregiously inflating your post count? Do you realize it does nothing to your credibility?
