UCLA Unofficial Transcripts?!

"Dear XXXX,

We have received your University of California Undergraduate Application for Admission and Scholarships. Thank you for your interest in our campus.

We are in the process of reviewing your application. Before we can complete our review and reach an admission decision, we need the following information from you:

Please email back a copy of your unofficial transcript from all colleges you attended.

We must receive this information within five days of this message date, or processing of your application may be delayed or canceled."

What is this?! Why do they want my unofficial transcripts?! Has anyone else received this?

It’s a good thing.

They’re probably wondering why you might have a gap in education, international classes, or things of that nature. And, yes other people get them.

I received a similar message about a month ago. Though, when I received the message, initially it asked how I placed into Statistics 1 (a college level math course.) I told them that I took a pre-req (Math 125 - Intermediate Algebra) in order to qualify for Stats 1 this semester. Then they asked for my transcripts showing my passing grade in Math 125. It was weird, but I didn’t think much of it at the time.

I got the email too, but it was specifically for one school and it had to be official. I believe it was because I had academic renewal at the campus.

@jdom24- I was thinking it was a good thing too. If our application wasn’t good enough why would they spend the time trying to get more info and clarification…at least I hope it means that, lol

i havent received any of these. have u guys applied for scholarships of UCLA?

Nothing other than what I check marked on the app
