Unrealistic SAT Plan of the Week.

A friend suggested me this site so I could think more practical and compare myself with others. Anyways I was wondering what you guys think of my plan to bring up my 1920 (1380 CR/M) SAT score up to a 2200 by Saturday.
My individual scores are :
Math - 750
CR - 630
W - 540
My super score is a 1960 with writing being 580.
October 30th:
-Finish Prep Course Vocab Work (700 index cards)

-Finish Direct Hits 1+2. (most words in both my prep course and direct hits are the same so it won't be as difficult; already have 182 words down in 20 minutes)

-Write 4 SAT essays (will be posting later today.) (my weak point; Received 6's and 8's throughout my prep course and the two times I took the SAT.) (if i can bring it up to a 12, a 600-650 is def. reachable but I want to receive the best I can)

-Finish 3 Gruber Practice Tests

Go through Barrons CR book.

-1 SAT from blue book to record performance. (1950 Goal)

November 6th:
TEST DAY
-Hopefully good enough to pull out 12's out of my ass on the essays.
-Do a gruber test section as a warm up

- Take some of the 'good stuff' and rip the test inside out.

Most unrealistic **** I have ever thought off. Looking at atleast 8-10 hours of work but will be worth it if I can get the score I desire.

I need to do my best since this is my last time I will be giving my SAT and afterwards I have to give my subject tests (bio/chem/physics) in December than I will be applying ED 2 NYU.

Starting in 25 minutes. Will be done hopefully in the next 8-10 hours.

Good luck with that.

Well good luck. I hope you’re motivated.

Dang that’s crazy don’t give up! I need to do something like this…right now. Lol

Come on dude i spent exactly 6 hours per day on thursday and friday for the oct sat and i went from a 1970 to a 2110

It’s really great that you are motivated, but try to stick to real SAT tests from the BB or the SAT course like Xiggi said

Read DH 1&2 atleast twice this week

DO REAL SAT TESTS (1,2,3 From BB) & look at the Past and Current SAT thread at CC

Review Notriarprep(sorry I butchered the name) CR guide

Read Silverturtles writing guide everyday for an hour (EVERYDAY)

Do 2x Essay everyday for about only 20 minutes instead of 25.

Read Gruber’s Math tips only, don’t do the practice test, and if you have DR. Chung, review that also. For you, b/c you score 750+, focus on the topics you get wrong. For me it’s patterns and probability

DO WORK- :), If you at least do 5-7 CR practice tests, your score would greatly improve, trust me. You will see something click, and you will finally get CR. And remember writing is one of the easiest sections to improve.

The only way you can possibly do that is to not go to school this week.

Sent from my iPhone using CC

What’s the best thing to do to improve critical reading this week? Please help out guys

Just realized that the SAT is on the 5th, not the 6th…
Just fantastic. I guess i will mash up what I had planned on doing on the November 3rd-5th into November 3th and 4th. LEGGO
Going to have work a lot harder now.
@panmit2: thanks. I just feel a lot comfortable with my own schedule.

Good Luck! Have lots of motivation!!

Taking a hour long break. A bit buzzed out at the moment. After that I plan on writing/posting my essays. Didn’t think gruber/vocab words would take this long…

u know what dude? lets do this together

LOL @ u guys, ahaha ur not gonna feel good after.

I look at the urban dictionary definition of College Confidential and laugh.

That’s my break between studying lol

@hgsoloco lol i’m on my break and i saw your post and decided to check it out, lol!!! i love urban dictionary.

So damn tired again. Don’t know how I will manage tomorrow. I realized doing 4 essays is just outrageous, so I am doing 2 essays/day. Took a practice today though, went up to a 2140 (probably a fluke score), but I am happy as hell.

dont’ be quick to write it off, if you’ve been making the effort, then gains like that should be expected!

Wow, that is a big schedule … Good luck on it! :)

Cramming will probably hurt, not help.
