Unregistered campus visit?

Hello everyone. I was wondering if I could get a bit of advice, as I'm in a tight spot. In October, I tried to register for a campus tour and information session at Georgetown. I saw on the university's website that you could register for campus tours online, but all I got when I clicked on any of the tour dates was the basic information, no actual registration. I wasn't sure how the online registration worked, so I sent an email just saying I'd like to sign up for the campus tour on Nov. 14

Fast forward to now, and I never got an email back; I'm not sure if it got lost in a sea of emails or if it never went through. I was a little anxious, so I re-sent my original email, and they responded by saying I should call their admissions office if I had questions about the availability of tours. I'm only worried because I don't think I ever made it onto their list.

So my question is, can I still show up and attend the tour/information session on Saturday? Hotel rooms have been booked, bags packed. Will they turn me away if I show up? Or is registration more of a formality? Some schools are more lax than others about this.

Thanks for your help!

I’m pretty sure you can show up and if there’s space they’ll let you in to the info session, but you can tag along on the tour regardless.

When we went for a visit over spring break (he’d been accepted EA), the room was packed and I think they quit letting people in. But there’s no reason you couldn’t tag along on a tour. Regardless, I’d just call back like they said and see what your status is. Report back and let us know!

What CSIHSIS said. But yea, just give the office a call - if there’s room in the session, they can add your name now. If there’s no, you can still show up and see if there are enough no-shows (there’s almost always a few) that you can squeeze in. You can join the tour regardless.

How did it go, wordnerd?
