I got accepted to the college I want to go to but Im about to fail a math class. The thing though is that the math class is an extra math class. I do not need it to graduate and I have done my three years of math requirement. Could my acceptance be taken away?

I would call and ask. No one here can give you the right answer since it’s the college’s decision.

Why would you continue to take it? Didn’t you get a chance first drop it? And yes, no matter if its an extra class, if you fail it you fail it and it can have negative consequences. I’m not sure about how its done at your school, but at mines if you fail any class a required or elective you must take it again for summer school and you don’t graduate until that is satisfied. If you have time, try to work something out with the teacher. Most teachers past a student even if he is near failing if s/he shows effort.
