I have been accepted to both universities, but am confused on which one I should go to. I want to become a pediatrician, and University of Texas at Dallas has a great premed program. But I only have to pay 1,000 for tuition for University of North Texas at Dallas and would have to pay $25k to go to UTD (since I am out of state). I will not be dorming. People are recommending me to go to UNT Dallas for freshmen year, and then transfer after a year to UTD (then I would pay in state tuition). Do you think is it worth it? Is UNT Dallas a good school? Will going to UNT Dallas for my first year of college, possible hinder my chances getting into med school? Thank you so much for your help!
Are you out of state now?
If you move to Texas for college but your parents are OOS, you will NOT receive “instate” tuition.
I am out of state now, but my parents and I are moving to Texas this summer; So I will be recieving in state tution for the last 3 years of college. Do you think it is worth it to pay out of state for UTD or go to UNT first year (a lot cheaper but not a very good school)?
Did you get a scholarship at UTD? Sometimes, getting a $1,000+ scholarship at a Texas public university means you’re automatically switched to in-state tuition. Call them!
