i didn't want to make a new threat for this and everything in the SAT/ACT section gets ignored as people start fifteen threads a minute...so question about standardized tests for all those super testers concentrated here!

US history/World history/physics/french

basically the only SAT IIs I can take to fill up the second slot for the two tests I signed up for. actually the only reason i have to take them in december is because I chickened out of taking Math IIC in june last year because i was paranoid and took literature last minute. So this year I signed up for math iic and physics, but now i'm realizing how different our curriculum is to what the SAT II asks for...

which of these tests is easiest to score well on without studying/taking the class? (i do take french, but it'll be hard to cram in anything in 5 days.)

Help please, or I might resort to private messaging, which I haven't tried before, haha

history tests are the easiest but require the most studying.

i think physics might be your best bet if it was taught well to you, if not then french?

ivyleaguechamp - I can only hope you're right. I wouldn't be suprised if many of the people on this board were accepted. Everyone here is talented and obviously dedicated to getting into great colleges and doing well in high school. With any luck, the adcoms will see that.

I heart ivyleaguechamp...although I'm not sure what I did to deserve the honor of being predicted to be in...I hardly ever even post! (although I'm a constant lurker)

I guess I'd recommend physics. Have you taken an AP history class? I thought US was easy, but that was after a really tough AP US class... I couldn't imagine studying all the stuff on my own. SAT II language tests are notoriously hard.

Physics has a nice curve, and doesn't seem so hard. My physics class last year was something of a joke, and when I looked at a practice test, I knew most of the questions.

i take IB classes, which is why the curriculum is sometimes weird and the europeans seem to emphasize different aspects, especially in french, the tests don't dwell too much on conjugations and grammar, but instead on oral and listening as well as comprehension and analysis.

yup! going for physics... thanks for the comments stcoleridge and justforgetme. i mean, it can't be too in-depth if they don't even let us have a calculator, right? i just need to learn thermodynamics, relativity, centripital motion, and review optics and electricity and magnetism...

ice cream....mango is soooo good! but mango everything is good! oh, and has anyone ever had kaju draksh (cashew raisin?)...it's an indian flavor and sounds kinda disgusting (so i've been told), but it's soooo good and you guys should try it if you get a chance!

I agree LAgal

hmm...i've never had that before...what exactly is it?

it's like a really rich cream (looks like vanilla, but tastes much better!) with cashews and raisins...reema, i think, is the brand

oohh so you buy it at the indian store place...i see...ooohhh...this is making me crave gulabjamun (???)..!!!

You know what? Unfortunately, A LOT of us will be indulging in ice creams/chocolates when the actual decisions come in... :(

yep...indian store!
perfectdark, let's please hope that the ice cream and chocolate is all part of a party, not what i'm thinking of right now

i LOVE getting the mango pulp from the indian store, then blending it with milk for the bessssst smoothies!

haha my parents are already telling me that i'm gaining weight, so indulging in sweets would be even worse

problem with swimming season ending, exercise cut down to a fraction but food ingestion not so much :-(

YUM! or mango lassi! i <3 mangoes!

LAgal: I sure hope so. :)

There is this quote which keeps flashing in front of my eyes, "Some people will be laughing, cheering, smiling that day; while many will be despondent, crying and wailing."

I'm kinda really hoping I'm in the first group, though I have NO idea how that will happen... ..... oh boy... just had another dose of adrenaline.

Stupid hormones.......

lol this is turning into the indian dessert board!!

Can we throw in some Japanese deserts? I'm not Japanese, but I absolutely love green tea ice cream.
