How does UO notify students of being admitted (and/or being denied)? Via Email? Letter in the post? Is it different for freshman admits vs transfer admits?

My daughter was notified by snail mail – a letter telling her she had been admitted came in the mailbox last Saturday, small envelope. Yay! She submitted her application on January 15.

Oh, and also, she is a freshman admit, and not an automatic admission candidate.

If I recall correctly from last year, you can log onto the DuckWeb website using the log-in information you should have received by mail after you submitted your application, and the status is kept updated there. Here’s the link:

The “official” letter came in the US mail, and as eabeeb said it comes in a small envelope so don’t panic.

@Tulare
around when did you get a notification on DuckWeb?
i still got nothing

For automatic admits (3.4 weighted GPA or above) the answer comes fairly fast after submitting all application materials. For applicants below 3.4 it takes longer. UO Admissions has stated they will communicate all decisions by the end of this month. Hang in there 1sd619!
