<p>As far as I know, it doesn’t affect them.</p>
<p>Most of their scholarships are automatic consideration. They don’t give out very many merit scholarships, though.</p>
<p>I have not paid the deposit, but have received a scholarship, so it’s not required to get the offers.</p>
<p>It would make very little sense for it to be required, as it’s a non-refundable deposit and most students will want to know the cost of each school they’re considering before committing to a school.</p>
