@creekland
the competition is intense, they have recurited athletes with signing days and everything
people tell me that I’m capable but I would have to sell my soul to the footballl program. I just think the structure will help me because structure keeps me focused and productive

When you said you didn’t like it or dislike it I think that was not a ringing endorsement. Football at UR would probably enhance your academic pursuits rather than draining your energies and focus if you pursue football at the other schools. But if you think you’re going to be miserable socially the it’s not worth it.

@finalchild I agree that football would enhance academics at Rochester but it seems like at the other schools it would potentially be a burden. Rochester just doesn’t resonate with me…it’s kind of weird, i want to go somewhere where I’d have to really strive to play football. Rochester football would be competitive but I wont be challenged they way I would at Nova, Lehigh, or Richmond. in a way, it’s just me wanting something I can’t get

Understood. Sounds like you don’t like Rochester for whatever reason but something is telling you that you might be wrong. Is that right? If you are potentially going to struggle to stand out academically then you don’t want football to be a burden IF doing well academically truly is more important to you.

both statements are correct. academics(my grades) are important for me because of the career I’m pursuing. based on their job applications they require a 3.3 or 3.5 GPA as a prerequisite

If i don’t achieve these exact academic/career goals, it wont be devastating, I want to achieve but I also want to enjoy my college years, not just be a book worm like I could.
I have a strong notion that I’ll find a job and everything w/ my forward thinking
work is forever, college will be 4 years
