Up for a challenge, CC? Tell me what college to attend.

Yes, I know. College is a personal decision, you should choose which one "feels" right, and so forth. Humor me, please? I want to know what college you think I would fit best.

SAT: 2020 first time, no prep. Retaking, and hopefully will score higher.
UW GPA: 4.0
One AP, one college class, and the rest honors classes jr. year, 4 APs and one college class senior year, will have taken 4 years of Spanish.
ECs: Lacking. A few dedicated but long-lasting ECs- violinist since age ten, martial artist since age 5, and am a fairly talented artist. I'm in math league and NHS. I have some volunteering and job experience.
My letters of recommendation are excellent, and I can write a great essay.
I am a PA resident.

Now I feel information-swamped. I have heavily researched different types of colleges, visited and am still planning more visits, and I have no idea what I want. I am a very adaptable person. The only requirement is that it not be located somewhere usually hot; I don't like hot weather. I am asking for suggestions primarily based on colleges' "atmospheres."

I like science. I plan to major in a hard science or computer science, and then go to med school.

I am...
-very introverted
-politically neutral; fully open-minded and accepting, but I tend to debate against any position, and you won't see me rallying.
-atheistic, but again, accepting of other religions

I like certain aspects of LACs:
-students and professors have close relationships
-focus is on undergraduates
But I dislike that the social aspect could be stifling at a small school/ everyone knows each other, as I am reserved person.
I feel like I am not quite friendly or laid-back enough to fit in with some of the mid-western LACs. I am sarcastic, deadpan, and argumentative.

I don't drink, do drugs, or party. (Boring, I know.) People are put off by my social awkwardness, so any social interaction revolves around academics or common interests- art, violin, etc.
I am a vegetarian, but I think most colleges provide for that.

If you read all of this, congratulations, haha. I would really appreciate your thoughts.

Marist College
Penn St
Lehigh(?)

boost that sat… assuming your ECs were good enough, U of C sounds like a school you’d fit into well. I do think it’s a reach school, though

^ Yes, the University of Chicago might be a good fit.

rochester, tufts

One thing that others need to know to help you: what is your cost constraint, and is your family able and willing to contribute what college financial aid offices say is the expected family contribution?

If CS is a strong possibility for major, check the upper division CS course offerings and their frequency of offering. Use those of a big university like Penn State as a comparison. CS degree programs can be very good or very limited.

Try looking at Haverford and Connecticut College (they offer free music lessons!).

Our EFC is around 4800. My parents say that the highest we could possibly pay is up to 8000/year.
