Up for a Road Trip?

<p>I was wondering if anyone who is attending the July 6th orientation wants to take a car together (pay gas half & half) or take the Bus. I have a 02 accord (cheap gas) I know it'll be a boring trip so just wondering if someone is up for that. I live in Frisco, TX ..so I guess anyone in the Dallas/Forth worth area (frisco, plano, mckinney, carrollton, etc) would be fine.</p>

<p>Just some facts you might be wandering about me: Male, Straight, business look, Asian (middle eastern & no! I wont threat you in the middle of trip), involved in lots of extra curricular (so not a caveman) & ask anything else u need to ...</p>

<p>BTW, Nxt, Middle Easterners are usually classified as “white” officially in the USA, so I hope you didn’t put that you were Asian on all of your apps, because colleges do use reverse-affirmative-action and hold “Asians” to a higher standard.</p>

<p>I don’t think of Pakistanis as Middle Eastern but Asian. To me, the Middle East would be Lebanon and the like.</p>

<p>i don’t understand how middle easterns can be classified as whites. I mean geographically speaking, middle east is part of asia. and someone from pakistan is considered more of south asian than middle eastern.</p>

<p>I am Persian (Iranian) and I am classified as white.</p>

<p>Pakistanis are not Middle Easterners, they are of Indian descent and thus are South Asian.</p>

<p>Middle Easterners–Arabs, Assyrians, etc, are considered to be “White” by the census bureau, as are Iranians/Persians.</p>

<p>People from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are considered South Asian. It doesn’t matter if their skin color is White, Brown, or Black. Generally North Indians/some Pakistanis have lighter skin color. South Indians and Sri Lankans have darker skin color.
But the majority of the people have Brown skin color.</p>
