Meesh - you should take Jazz band - i think everyone needs something relaxing in their schedule. plus, AP Physics + AP Chem = overwhelming

If Meesh's jazz band is anything like my school's top jazz band, it isn't necessarily the easiest way out. Despite the fact that I'm a music major (my HS is an arts school) and that I am continuing music in college and that I'm heavily involved with all of my school's ensembles, I'm strongly considering not going back to it next year. We gig everywhere numerous times a month, in addition to rehearsals, and oh yeah... all the other bands we're in, and oh yeah!... school too. It's such a demanding schedule that I would really like to take something like AP Physics instead (of course, AP Physics is no longer offered at my school...)

lol i think my schedule is the most relaxed but here it goes:

AP Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Chem
Website Design
Directed Projects (C++)

nah, i decided to drop an ap at the last minute and add on a few electives instead, lol. i don't want senior year to be a repeat of junior year.

I wish my school had an elective in finance. Geez, I hate my school...they offer biochemistry but they don't offer cool classes like finance or business management. GRRRRR

AP Studio Art
AP U.S. History
AP Statistics
AP Spanish Lang.
AP English Lit.
Pre-Cal Honors
Chemistry Honors
Intro to Comp. at local CC (grad. requirement, 2nd semester)

I had the AP teacher in Chem for Honors Chem. I get the impression from him that he doesn't think the class is going to be a challenge for me. So... I dunno... we'll see.

I'm kinda leaning towards jazz band too. At my school, we gig fairly often but it's a fun and laidback atmosphere. Plus it allows me to be closer to my band director since there are less of us in this atmosphere. I've spoken to him tons more in the last semester that I took jazz than I did in the 2 and a half years beforehand.

Anyway, thanks for the advice, don't wanna hijack the thread.
