Using the ED numbers, total application and acceptance numbers, etc., I just calculated that Penn’s RD acceptance rate this year is 9.4%, so you should turn that frown back around to a smile, and be happy that you got into Penn!

Accepted, and unable to afford it. shrug

In the end, it didn’t really matter if I got accepted or not because I’ve been screwed so hard by financial aid in general. My family is too rich to afford it. XD

ACCEPTED!!! I cannot believe it. I got in… with a 2050 and 700, 620 and 600 SAT II. GUYS have faith! It’s a total crap shoot. Just try your best, and reveal yourself through your application. It can happen young CCers. If you really care about a school do everything possible to get it, you may be pleasantly surprised.

@45 Percenter, thanks for the encouragement. When you put it that way… yeah, I’m excited about Penn but just sad about everything else. It’s ok though. I’ll get over myself eventually :P

2300 single sitting SAT
790 SAT II -Spanish
690 SAT II - BioM
4.0 unweighted/4.3 weighted GPA
Awesome essays & extracurriculars (multiple presidencies, tons of community service)
Donator Penn Alum and friend of mine spoke with admissions and added recommendation to file
Eagle Scout

And… waitlist

I know it’s incredibly difficult to get into, but what a letdown. Looks like I’ll be attending state school.

Self-pity aside: What does waitlist translate to? How many people get waitlisted, and how many of those waitlisted actually get in?

My stats were much lower than yours but same, I was set to go to a state flagship. Honestly I would probably do much better there academically than how I am right now but I still love Penn. Life here is definitely awesome!

feel free to message me questions about my waitlist experience.

Straight-up rejected. I was a bit hopeful considering my Penn interview was probably the best I had, but it’s okay. Congrats to everyone who got in!

Accepted, I can’t believe it.
Rejected from eveeerryywhheree else! Waitlisted at UChicago and CMU.
Still waiting for Berkeley and Stanford. Int’l, btw.
Congrats for everyone!

EDIT: 2180 SAT I, 800 Math II, 780 Physics 760 Math I, TOEFL 113

ACCEPTED!!! Totally surprised! After being waitlisted at Duke, and rejected from many other Ivies I wasn’t very optimistic.
Getting into an ivy league school is a total crapshoot.
Congrats to everyone who got in!

HEY! I’m a Penn student and am involved in a lot here. I work with Penn Preview Days and with various other programs that help high school students reach out to Penn, so I’m pretty well-equipped with answers if you have questions. I’m also a peer advisor, in greek life, in the arts (a cappella, theatre), and have taken Wharton and College classes. PM me with ANY questions. And congrats/ my sympathies to all.

My son was accepted to Wharton but he had applied to the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology. His acceptance says nothing about it. Is he definitely rejected from the Fisher program?
