If we are missing ACT/SAT scores we Penn sent out the email to inform of any missing documents, do the scores need to be received by Penn by December 4th OR sent out by collegeboard no later than 12/4??

So if I were to send in additional stuff where would I e-mail it?

Hey guys,

Isn’t it compelling that we might (emphasis on the might) be talking to future Penn friends, without even knowing it? Pretty cool, in my opinion. I’m quite nervous to hear back. In less than two weeks, we might know where we’re spending the next four years of our lives. But again, this is just me being an idealist…

I wish everyone could get in to Penn haha that would be nice. Imagine if all you had to do was write an essay and hit submit and you were in lol.

I am just so nervous about this admission letter… My logic is that if I can’t get into Penn with a 20% acceptance rate (not saying that acceptance rates are the only thing I look at in colleges), how will I get accepted anywhere else with lower or equal to 20%… It’s absolutely nervewracking.

Actsat, yeah that would be great. But there would be no excitement! I feel like the wait is more exciting than the actual letter. Or maybe I’m just crazy…

GottaGetThat, I didn’t realize how high the acceptance rate for Penn ED was, but acceptance rates don’t quite matter that much since ED applicants are usually far more qualified and committed to attending that particular school than RD applicants. It almost cancels out the higher acceptance rate, but I’m sure you knew that ;).

Where ya’ll from? Anyone from the northeast? (Ironic because I said ya’ll…)

I dont understand colleges though, I mean what are they gonna do after 10/15 years?? The world’s population is growing exponentially but the amount of people they admit is still the same…admission rate to a college is gonna be like 1%

@crewgirl true, but still that number still kinda haunts me And yeah, northeast for me :)

@actsat I was just talking to my friend about this. The admission rate decreases by like 0.5% every year… they’re going to be forced to accept more applicants or have like a 2-4 % acceptance rate

Is there anyone who applied to the Nursing school? Any Whartons?

I applied Wharton

& from west coast woo

Nice! How far are you guys with other applications??

I am well on my way. I’m almost done all my other ones. Just procrastinating on a few maybe until after Penn, lol.

As for the question about ACT/SAT scores, I think as long as CollegeBoard sends it by Dec 4, it should be fine… I mean I’m pretty sure CB sends your score online, so it should be automatic once its sent

@alakazam i’ve talked to various college admissions office and according to them, it takes 2-3 weeks at the minimum to process SAT scores once they release them. So I would really suggest that everyone sends their SAT scores right about now, so the other colleges don’t have to wait to view your application.

I’ve submitted almost all of my apps. I didn’t really want to wait for Penn’s admission letter because I didn’t want to just rely on it. I think I have like 4-5 colleges left and then I’m done.

Hello fellow aspiring quakers, hope you are handling the anxiety like a boss. Quick question, if rest of the profile is “good” (passionate essays, unique ECs, great Recs, top ranks in school), will a 600 in literature and 710 in maths level 2 affect the decision? I have 2140 in reasoning with an 800 in maths. I’m constantly thinking about this and worrying myself to death. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Also relevant, i’m an international student and applying to Wharton

It won’t make or break your app

Is anyone else changing their minds about their chances every 5 minutes? I swear that the closer D-Day gets, the more I alternate between feeling pretty good about my chances and being 100% sure of rejection.
