here’s a list of ED notification dates, if anyone wants to check it out! as the date gets closer, the website will update with the date and even time of notification. good luck!!!
UPenn is so cool! I just stayed with my cousin from Saturday until Wednesday. Penn has such a vibrant campus and community. Its very socially active, the students are very active extracurricularly, and its small enough where you’ll see your friends walking around but large enough where there’s a lot of anonymity among the student body. I didn’t apply ED but I am excited to apply RD. Those of you who get in ED are a very fortunate bunch. Philly is cold but it’s a great city and the cold isn’t unmanageable. Enjoy UPenn
@hhdurner,
The Financial Aid award usually comes with your acceptance letter. It never comes before that. Sometimes it comes a week or so after, but I’m assuming for UPenn it will come with the letter.
The award letter spells out how much money you will be able to borrow via Stafford Subsidized and Unsubsidized, how much money you will be receiving via grant/scholarship (if any), and the name of the grant(s)/scholarship(s), how much money will you be receiving via Pell Grant (if any), how much money toward Work Study. Last is how much money you will need to come up with yourself outside of these.
As far as what combination of loans/grants it will give you, as @masquerade98 states, you can’t know that yet but the netprice indicator will give you some idea.
Depends…sometimes they want you to have them automatically sent so they get them sooner, but now that they have score choice, they may understand why you didn’t and accept them. Definitely can only help if you are sending good scores.
@dudeIMniceAFtbqh, Yes, if they’re good, send them. It’s still within the deadline. And yeah, they do say they’ll accept November SATs. It’s out of your control whether they consider them, but there is no way it would hurt.
@2021Hopeful please rescind your application even if you doubt it a little bit. There are thousands of people that have this school as their number one school.
@sajeunesse Well, I am greedy and want to see if I get in! If I get into Penn, I will be thrilled! But if I’m deferred (which we all know leads to RD rejection), I won’t be too beat up about it.
@2021Hopeful Did you apply EA/ED to Tulane since many of their early decisions came out yesterday? If yes, you should know that when you agreed to apply ED to UPenn, you signed an agreement to not apply early anywhere else.
