When does Penn ED come out?
@Yarnweaver that seems very likely. I check the notification dates for all Ivies on Bigfuture, and it said Dec 15 pretty much everywhere
I think it might come out on 9th as they have given until 9th Jan for ED applicants to send in confirmations. And once I looked at the gap between confirmation date and result date, I realized all colleges give a month for ppl to send confirmations. So, according to this, HOPEFULLY THE ED RESULT WILL BE OUT BY 9TH.

I don’t know…But according to the 1-month response thing, maybe.
It is always a Friday. The question is whether it is December 8 or 15. Hopefully they’ll release the official notification date in advanced (maybe today as it’s 1 week out from the 8th).
@swanfactor Well I think it could change this year because of the application deadline extension. Cornell has already changed from the 7th to the 11th, and other universities are releasing on the 12th. That being said, most colleges are still releasing on the 15th from what I’ve heard.
What do you guys think is behind the decision to release decisions on Fridays? Why would they stick to one day of the week in particular?
They have many considerations, maybe to minimize the impact on schools, a weekend to rejoice, or sorrow etc.
Three years ago decisions came out on MONDAY, 12/15
I called Penn and was told week of the 11th… no specific date yet though…
