I’m a Hispanic student from Virginia applying for Spanish and I’m slightly panicking because I’m realizing that most people who had Spanish spoken to them in their households apply for Portuguese or French. I also never took math 2, because my guidance counselor figured that since I have 5s on AB and BC and should instead take Spanish with Listening, Literature, and US History… I did ED to the college though so hopefully if Huntsman doesn’t go my way I will still get into my dream school… Yikes!
@GalladeAggron I appplied to the Jerome Fisher Program. Did wharton as a second-choice
@anyexreita November 30th is not late for AOs to make the decision. You have to know that the results notification date is in MID DECEMBER.
At this point I’m not even waiting for decisions I’m waiting for an email for when decisions come out lmao
@ChipotleTacos Jerome Fisher is M&T right? Could be that both your first and second choice are so competitive that they need minute details for differentiation? Maybe that’s why us lowly prospective engineers didn’t receive something like that. Anyway, best of luck!
@GalladeAggron Yeah, I guess so. Thanks : )
@YungEconomics what was you Spanish score? Mine was 620. I know its not great but I really want to get into Huntsman
Hi, @ChipotleTacos! M&T applicant here too. Best of luck to you! Where are you from?
Apparently its December 12
@abpuma I got an 800. I feel like in a sense it’s too high, because it shows that I already have a mastery over the language, which makes me look lazy compared to the other applicants who want to learn the language, rather than continue their mastery in it. Idk. Good luck to you, I am excited to hear back!
@Harrison28 where did you hear that decisions are coming out on Dec 12?
Also curious where you got the 12th from. I havent even seen that date thrown around ever
Novody knows, that’s what everyone is debating. I’m pretty sure it Is not the 8th though from what I’ve heard
my recommenders did not receive an email, should I be concerned since I’m a mediocre applicant??
@pennplz wdym? Should our recommenders have gotten emails? And about what
Ya I have no clue what that means either. How and why would they email our recommenders. DO they usually do that? If I already sent quarter grades would they ever have any reason to email my recommender?
Applied ED last year. The decision came out on Dec. 9th, which was a Friday (at 3 pm ET). Penn Admissions notified us of the decision release date on the Tuesday of that week, so the 6th. Hope that helps! Good luck to all!
Just relax everybody…
@uofpenn21 Thanks! Did you get in through ED?
No, they just said week of the 11th and that they would give us at least a weeks notice
