Last year Penn reported 7073 applicants that applied ed. Do you guys think that number is going up or down this year? Historically, the number of applicants increase as the years go on so do you think this year will follow that trend?
be careful guys, You guys will know your status on or before dec 14th…very highly doubt that anyone will get info so early in the process…best of luck
How do you know that December 14th? Has the notification date been released anywhere?
Do you know its Dec 14 for a fact or is that an estimate?
I agree, I doubt someone received a likely letter during the ED round because the whole point of a likely letter is to keep you interested in the school and it doesn’t make sense to do that for ED because the university knows you are interested (and that it is your first choice) as you have agreed to a binding acceptance.
Hey all, I’m a Penn Class of 2023 ED applicant. My test scores and class rank are alright, but they’re not phenomenal by any stretch. I did, however, contact my regional representative, and I have phenomenal letters of recommendation. This past Saturday, November 10th, I had my interview with a local alum. The interview went very well, and we talked for about 45 minutes. All I can do now is pray. What are you guys doing? Is it bad that I don’t have my FAFSA completed yet? I feel so nervous, but I’m 98% sure that I’ve done everything. God, Penn 2023 would be absolutely amazing.
Okay guys, I just had a mini nervous breakdown. I’m filling out my Penn Financial Aid Supplement now. Is that awful? Yikes! I’m filling out the CSS tonight.
no youre fine! don’t panic! fin aid does not affect acceptance i mean do it asap so you get your fin aid info asap but it doesn’t affect your app
@bichon_frise99 Are you sure? That’s the impressio I was under prior to today! The deadline surrounding Penn’s Supplemental Financial Aid was scaring me. Ha! I’ll certainly be competing the Fin Aid ASAP! Thanks!
naw you’re good!
good luck with everything and dw abt it!!
@bichon_frise99 Thanks! Just to confirm what you told me, I contacted Admissions. Admissions told me that it’s a totally separate process. Thanks a lot.
Yo guys false alarm lmfaoooo, my friend logged on to my college confidential to pull this dumb prank. You guys are right about likely letters, they don’t come out during ED. If you guys want any info about Penn and admissions hmu, I’m actually a freshman here at Penn, I study at the Wharton School class of 2022. I tried deleting the post because I knew it would cause a commotion but there was no way of doing so. Really sorry about everything guys! Good luck with college apps! Again, if there are any more questions about colleges that you guys wanna know feel free to hmu.
I spoke with Admissions today. They told me that there is no exact date by which they’ll have all decisions published. They did, however, admit that it will be mid-December. Additionally, likely letters aren’t a thing. Have a great day, everyone! Best of luck to everyone. I know they’re you’re all go getters!
oh man really great that there isn’t an exact date to look forward to/dread :///
@rollstangs2019 I visited UPenn and am also applying ED to CAS, the tours don’t really flush out the campus well so you’re not missing much if you just do a virtual tour
@SwoleSoul try applying for scholarships not associated w/ the uni, I don’t qualify for aid w/ the CSS so I applied to ROTC
@xaliune the hardest is probably wharton
@hopestobe Good luck, I’m also applying to the international relations major!
last year my son got his acceptance to Wharton on the 14th of December, if you check the previous years…its almost always around the 14th…they will announce the exact date soon
its a very educated estimate!!!
