I was wondering why so few of SEAS only degree graduates end up in Finance/Consulting. Career report shows a large % of the engineers go for those careers instead of engineering, but they all seem to be from the Wharton-SEAS dual degree. I am interested in engineering, but probably want to end up in the Finance/Consulting sector (which was one of the main reasons I picked UPenn) and I heard the opportunities are great. The survey seems to state something slightly different. Can anyone help? Is it because it's hard to break into those careers as UPenn engineers or because most engineers prefer not to go down that path?

Because they don’t want to?

Contact alumni and ask them.

They have a better pool from Wharton and so if one does nothing at Wharton, they may not consider them suitable?
