UPenn interdisciplinary approach

I have spent a lot of time looking into the university’s interdisciplinary majors. I would like to learn more about Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (concentration in choice and behaviors) as well as Health and Societies (concentration in health care markets and finance). Does anyone know anything about these degree paths? I would like to do something in finance after graduation. Do you think these degree paths would be looked down upon by employers?

Thanks in advance!

@Zuko2018 Why do you think that they will be looked downed upon?

I would like to note I am not an expert on this major in any way.
I talked with an admissions officer recently about PPE. I didn’t really talk about careers after it, but from my understanding of it, it is not something that would be good for something in finance. I think the vision for this major was not something based in finance, but instead something that allows you to look at economics and politics in more of a sociological view. a Upenn degree, regardless of major, will bring you places, but I don’t believe this major is the best for something in finance.

Penn does publish the full-time offers and grad school placement on a major-by-major basis: https://www.vpul.upenn.edu/careerservices/files/2017.CAS.CPS.pdf

It is not a traditional program like economics. I thought about doing economics at Penn, but it is more math-focused unlike all of its peers. A lot of people do economics that goes into finance, and I am looking for an alternative major.

I agree that it is not the traditional way, but at Penn it appears to be the only alternative for something related to economics.

Why are you looking for an alternative major? I think PPE is also incredibly competitive for admission, it is one of their most popular CAS majors.
