UPenn Rejected/Deferred Thread

I was deferred and was hoping we could all just come together in this trying time and comfort one another. I know that for me, this is particularly hard to come to terms with given that I have obsessed over Penn unhealthily for the past 2 years. If anyone else cares to share please do.

I feel you @mat324

got deferred from M&T so I’m kinda optimistic that I should get into SEAS and at least now my applications for a billion other schools won’t be for naught! Bright side people

did you apply ED to SEAS too?

I was rejected. ITS OKAY!!! WE CAN PUSH THROUGH

well I checked the box for not binding. But I was told that if I did that they would still let me know today if I had gotten rejected from M&T

and in either case it doesn’t matter…i’d rather be deferred than rejected M&T and accepted SEAS

but I was wondering if it was possible to reject M&T and defer SEAS…because that would mean that getting deferred from M&T means you still have a chance at M&T and a really good one at SEAS.

The whole dual degree and then single choice thing is so complicated…I applied binding to huntsman and Wharton so I’m assuming I’m rejected by both

what did your letter say?

The selection committee has completed its deliberations, and it is with genuine regret that I inform you that we are not offering you admission to the University of Pennsylvania.

I got deferred, too. This gives me motivation.

@TommyD yeah we got this bud

Deffered SEAS. I’m just mad that I have to start my RD supplements.

@schakrab Haha thanks buddy!

Rejected. But then again, Wharton is a crapshoot for me

I got deferred from CAS. Oh well. But I’m going to do everything in my power to try to get in next round. Good luck to the rest of you!

Deferred from M&T as well. On the bright side, I still have a chance for the program in RD and I can consider other options.

Deferred CAS :frowning:

Welp, rejected Wharton. Funny, every single kid from my school who applied ED to Penn got rejected (~30), but in past years Penn has taken 2-3 students during the ED round.
