UPenn Science/Premed

I know that nothing can really compare to Harvard/MIT's science programs, but how do UPenn's compare to other colleges' (specifically top colleges) in general?

i think they are ranked 30 in engineering

3 med school = fantastic premed preparation

science programs (bio, chem, etc.) alone are not bad

how are your chances of going to, lets say, harvard med from upenn pre-med. better chance at upenn to go to harvard than from Johns Hopkins?

I don’t care about engineering. I’m only interested in their CAS, and maybe even their Engineering School and Applied Sciences School (Biomedical Sciences, really)… but is it harder to get into this or CAS?

the biomedical science curriculum is a lighter, more interdisciplinary version of the bioengineering curriculum - so there are still many engineering courses required

and by the numbers it is harder to get into the college, but if you compensate for the generally higher caliber of engineering applicants it’s about the same i’d say
