I plan to apply early decision to Penn and also plan to attend their Summer Biomedical Research Academy, as well as take an interview.
The Projected test scores are from a series of full practice tests I have taken for the SAT, and I plan on taking SAT II's and scoring highly on them.
On the negative, I have recieved one B for semester which brought my rank down, a high B which unfortunately could not be curved and came about because of odd circumstances which I cannot discuss on an application.

I would also greatly appreciate any advice to help my chances or suggestions for improvement.

I am an Indian (Asian) American by background as well if this makes any difference

Take your SATs, and then see.

Work on Leadership, & then you'll be ballin

i believe with Ivies, you really need to show leadership

thanks ^

I always wondered... there will be several people applying to the same schools when the time rolls around next year. Their apps are slightly better than mine, and in my school, around the top 4 get into ivies etc, and the others get into other nice schools: duke, jhu. Will that hurt my chances when I'm competing against other qualified students from my school? Again, their apps are slightly better, but not by much. Thanks

hard to chance you without any standardized tests...

okay, well my psat was 218 if that helps,
anyone?

update:
SAT 2280 and accepted into UPenn's summer research program

Chances?

bump?
10 char

As good of chances as most applicants at those schools. I'd say you're in at Penn though.

I would be really surprised if Penn doesn't accept you. From what I've heard, Penn isn't considered a hard school to get into, so great stats+early decision is imo a guaranteed acceptance. Everywhere else is questionable, but if you're applying ED to Penn that shouldn't matter.
