Hey I'm applying to the College RD this year, probably as a biochem major, and I just wanted to know my chances. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

SAT-750 V, 700 M
SAT II- 800 IIC, 800 Writing, 800 Bio-M

My GPA through the beginning of senior year was a 97.24 (unweighted) on a 100 point scale.

I attend a rigorous magnet high school, 55 kids in my class, no rankings, though I believe I'm in at least the top 10 %, probably number 2 or 3. Highest GPA is a 99.4

School didn't offer APs to freshman and sophomores
AP Calc AB and AP Bio- Junior Year (5 on both)
AP Physics C (2 classes), AP Lit and Comp, AP Calc II BC, AP Chem-Senior Year
I also skipped out of pre-calculus my junior year, if that means anything.

Through my school, I've taken about 25 college credits worth of classes in various technical/engineering fields.

Extra-Curriculars

Robotics Club-President Senior year, VP Junior Year. I wrote two grant proposals to NASA and won $6000 grants in both my junior and senior year for the club.
NHS-Member since Junior Year, treasurer junior year, President senior year.

There have been other things, but these are the things that I truly enjoyed during high school and was most dedicated to.

I held a job at CVS during the summer of my junior year-Again, I don't know if that actually means anything

Honors

Student of the Month-January of my junior year-I don't think this really means anything

Wrote a research proposal for the ExploraVision competition-Won an Honarable mention
Honarable Mention in National French Contest-Freshman and Sophomore year
ADDA Certified Drafter
National Merit Commended Scholar

I should have really good recs, and my essays have been looked over by my
AP Lit. teacher who says they're really solid.

Thanks for your opinions

i'd say you have a good shot at penn... yale- hmm... it's a crapshoot for everyone. probably not though. (i'm applying to both as well- good luck) :)

Anybody else?

"held a job at CVS during the summer of my junior year-Again, I don't know if that actually means anything"

no, it doesn't

honestly, if i where in you're shoes, i wouldn't waste the money applying there, especially to yale. i mean, if you want to go ahead, but its a huge reach. you just don't have anything distinguishing. look at some large research oriented state schools (UCONN, Rutgers, etc.)

You should have a great shot at Penn, but I also advise looking at Duke, Columbia, Brown, and Dartmouth as similar schools. You should get into one or two of these five.
