Do you think it's ok if I write about doing research with a professor that teaches at the UPenn medical school? or do I have to write about a professor in the undergraduate school?

Thanks =)

p.s. i'm actually a senior lol i created that name last year haha

Since you're applying to their undergraduate school, not their medical school, choose a professor who would teach you as an undergraduate.

actually, if the professor in question has a research lab or some other function by which you could interact with him or her, then that faculty member would be fine to write about

I would say pick an undergrad professor: there are a lot of people who want to go to medical school, but if you write a well-written piece about an undergrad professor at Penn, then you won't seem as "ME WANT BE DOCTOR". Being pre-med is awesome (I want to go into it myself), but it's not necessarily unique. Pick a professor whose research really speaks to you, and not just because it's medicine-related.

well i didn't so much pick the professor because she was at the med school but because she does derm research which i'm interested in and because it kind of relates personally to me

Then there you go.
