I have won numerous regional individual awards for math competitions. Our team also places at state. I also volunteer to organize and write problems for elementary level math competitions. I'm probably going to write my application essay about the huge role that math plays in my life and how much I love it. Tell me if that's a bad idea.</p>

<p>Went to the National Youth Leadership Conference in D.C. 10/11th summer. It was pretty much a money sucking joke.</p>

<p>Young Women in Science paid internship at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory 11/12th grade summer. Working on Evaluating and Mitigating Corrosion on Powder Coated steel and aluminum.</p>

<p>Volunteer Experience: Volunteer at largest hospital in the region
I also tutor struggling HS Students in math.
500+ hours through Key Club, DECA, and National Honor society combined.</p>

<p>Hooks: Born and raised in America, the cradle of comfort. Middle class, parents provided everything. Never faced adversity other than that which I conciously pursued in order to build character. In other words, no hooks.</p>
