UPenn vs. Brown ED

I've visited Brown but not U Penn and i absolutely loved Brown but i'm not so sure about the social life compared to U Penn's so I'm not sure which one to apply ED when comparing those aspects alone.

I like big parties but i'm also into just talking, smoking and drinking with a small group of people--say 30 people.
What's the social life like at UPenn? Is it easy to make friends? I'm afraid that people at U Penn aren't as friendly and accepting as the people at Brown. I'd also like to party probably like 2 or 3 times a week if possible.

I'm also very outgoing and friendly and i'm from the midwest so i was wondering if UPenn students are friendly as well? Is it the type of place where you can just go up to someone at a party or club and be their friend or are people cliquey and stuck up?

“i absolutely loved Brown”

If you loved Brown, then it seems like a good place to apply ED. I’d recommend visiting UPenn before even considering applying ED there.

Both schools have tons of different types of students – UPenn is known as the social Ivy, but Brown will still have lots of parties and things to do. You’d probably be satisfied with the social life at either school.

Is partying your main criterion for picking a college? You cannot make a decision like applying ED “comparing those aspects alone”

@overseasmom no. that’s the whole point of me asking this question. im saying WHEN comparing those aspects alone. no one chooses to apply to ivy league colleges just for the partying. if i was only applying because of the social life i would apply ED to UCLA or UMich

There’s a very strong social scene at Penn. It’s location in a major city complements the social scene at the university. Go visit, ideally when school is in session.
