UPenn vs Tufts (IR/ Enviro studies)

Hi guys, I got accepted to both University of Pennsylvania (Civic Scholars Program) and Tufts. Im having a tough time deciding which uni to attend.

My interests are primarily in which uni provides the best opportunities for research and participation in IR/Environment related activites. (Tufts Institute of Environment vs UPenn SAS Institute for Environmental Studies???) Im also interested in the success rates of these undergrad students going on to ivy-standard grad skls.

Also, how are the social scenes at Tufts and UPenn? What sort of activities are there besides greek life and alcohol? How are the locations? I heard Penn is relatively unsafe with not much to do compared to the thriving student body at Boston?

The main dilemma for me is Penn seems to be the academic choice but Tufts seems to offer a higher "quality of life" in terms of social activities. What do you guys think? Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

Tufts is known internationally as (arguably) one of the best IR schools in possibly the world. If you’re interested in IR, I’d suggest attending Tufts.
