Uploading a photograph

Hello,

I am just about to submit the part II of the application and I am wondering whether to submit a photograph or not. The app says the admission office would be glad if it could match my face with someone they have met during the visits.

But I am a foreigner and I have never been to Columbia. Should I submit it? Coincidentally, I am wearing a shirt and tie in Columbia's colors.

Thanks
Andy

I think the picture is a good idea on a pschological basis. I have no knowledge or experience in the college admissions field, but in our particular field when we do admissions work there are some of us who are very visual. Your actual appearance would not count against you unless it is really outlandish and having a picture will help the people on the comittee to remember you as an individual while they are discussing (15 min.)
(The colors are a nice touch.)

What format did you use to upload the photograph?

I try but it keeps saying its not one of the allowed formats. Mine is in JPEG.

put the image in a word doc

Thanks, I thought they wanted a pure image file.

Thanks, I guess I am too over-thinking the whole application process. Especially those subliminal messages with colors :)

I will try JPG and if it doesn't work, I am uploading a *.doc.

Has anyone encountered the same problem as me? When I have trying to upload the picture in the past six hours, the application always told me there is a problem with the upload and I should check back later. I have sent an email to tech support, but it takes them one business day to get back to me. Anyone has the same problem?

i had the same problem yesterday, but when I contacted them (through the tech support page) and attached all the files i wanted to upload, they uploaded them for me in like an hour. maybe you need to wait until monday (business day), but dont worry.
