<p>Do the upperclassmen ALWAYS beat up on us? How do you deal with the rumors and everything?</p>
<p>Eh? What? Nothing like that happens at my school. Upperclassmen leave us freshman alone.</p>
<p>.-_-.</p>
<p>No one likes freshmen at my school, but no one beats them up. Just that every time we seem them in the hallway, we'll say "Why are there so many freshmen?" But we also tell them how cute they are. So it kind of goes either way. But no one likes how many of them there are becaues my school is really small (we're moving to a new building soon) and they crowd the hallways.</p>
<p>at my school, us seniors completely ignore all freshmen and sophomores.</p>
<p>In my school, students like Sophomores better than Freshman, but not by much. However, most teachers love Sophomores.</p>
<p>Yea, that never hapenned with me. A lot of my friends were upperclassmen when I was a freshman.</p>
<p>At my school, there is a massive social hiearchy, which was made due to the sophomore's blind hatred. In return, we abhor them. :)</p>
<p>freshmen...eh i remember those days like it was 4 months ago..oh wait it was :) eh..im glad that year's over</p>
<p>When i was a freshman, i was with a lot of sophmores and juniors (and sometimes seniors, -_- ) in my classes, and my teachers gave me hell.</p>
<p>Oh, and Freshman Friday was only in jr high school ;)</p>
<p>I'm a senior at a high school where all classes are divided by grade level, so you're never in a class with anyone from a different grade. We don't pay attention to freshmen. They're... small.</p>
<p>i dont have ne classes with ne freshmen cuz im a junior but we dont really pay ne attention to them
but we dont really make fun of them that much <em>cough cough</em>
when i was a freshman, i was with some juniors and seniors in my math class and they stared at me all through the year and didnt really like me that much cuz of my smartness lol
freshmen r there, let them be</p>
<p>I think there are pretty good interclass relations at my school. Link Crew (an organization in which upperclassmen help freshmen adjust to high school) is one of the biggest clubs here, and you never hear about hazing, EVER. Almost all of my best friends are in the classes under mine (I'm a senior), but I don't actually think that's extremely common.</p>
<p>Eh, its principle. By sophmore year you'll be thinking "effing freshman"
Its part of highschool. Plus, it builds like class unity because if everyone else hates your class then you and your classmates become better friends.
Its part of highschool.... we all went through it</p>
<p>hm.. we don't pay much attention to freshmen at all. but it kind of depends on the class.. like last year's freshmen caused a lot of drama but a decent amount were really cool so they like actually interacted with the rest of the school. this year's freshmen seem kind of dorky so far and just boring in general.</p>
<p>Today was Freshman Friday/Freshman Hazing Day, all that shtuff. Nothing happened :P</p>
<p>As a senior, I view...</p>
<p>Freshmen</p>
<p>-Freshmen backpacks = instant lose
-Cute how they work so hard while we're just chillaxin (but this applies to sophomores and juniors as well)
-Many short ones that are just so easy to spot
-First day of school is lovely - all the freshmen get lost in the halls and have to ask for help. They are of course, too scared to ask anyone but the teachers.
-True story. Last year, the bus was half full every morning. This year however, there are 50 new freshmen that were all taking the same school bus. I am the last person to get on the last stop. As a result, there were no seats one day (this hasn't happened since), and I had to sit on the floor. From this point on, I have had a colossal enmity against all things fresh.
-Another reason why I loathe them is because they go Freshmen Friday. The current class was the first to get one (they go outside and eat bagels).</p>
<p>Sophomores</p>
<p>-Slightly upgraded, but not my much
-I actually have a few sophomore friends, but that's because they work at the same place that I do
-Not as pick-onable as the freshmen, but still possible.
-Used to the school structure, but they don't know the hidden secrets that are only revealed to the seniors.
-I keep telling them, "your next year is gonna suck."</p>
<p>Juniors</p>
<p>-Need a breath of fresh air
-Possibly the worst year in high school
-They have street credit now, but rarely have time to use it because of SATs, APs, and the intense cirriculum.
-I have many junior friends. They even pick on the freshmen ^_^
-Treated more as equals than as inferiors.
-Sports Night: Juniors v. Seniors. Intense. When the juniors win they get massive leverage in competing with the seniors in the hallways for dominance.
-We can always say, "Haha. You have to take SATs and we don't!"
-They can always say, "Haha. We'll be seniors next year and you'll be freshmen!"</p>
<p>Seniors</p>
<p>-The best
-Class of 2007. Some clever person realized that 007 was the agent number of a fictitious British superspy. Consequentially, most of the senior shirts have the 007 symbol on them.
-Senioritis onset at start of the school year, full blown Senioritis by Christmas.
-Have special permission to cut the lunch line.
-Can drive --> another bargaining chip to keep the juniors under their control.
-By the end of the year, everything will have simmered down, and the seniors shall be named the gurus of the college admissions process, having been through it themselves. All juniors shall flock to the seniors for advice.</p>
<p>Hehe. Sorry, it turned more into a year-by-year breakdown that an upperclassmen vs. freshmen thingy.</p>
<p>Teachers love freshmen and hate seniors (since freshmen tend to work much harder/don't eat in class/etc.). Students don't seem to notice but mostly hang out with their own year. Typically every year I notice who's left my school more than who's entered.</p>
<p>lol...freshman year... i was so awkward and small. i did have lots of senior friends though.</p>
<p>now in my junior year i think most freshman are just a waste of space, but a few are cool i guess.</p>
<p>To copy a template -</p>
<p>As a junior, I view:</p>
<p>Freshmen -
-Wow, each new class seems to have a lower average height...
-How the heck are they managing to take a bazillion more AP classes than we did?
-Wanna TALK to us upperclassmen? Ever? Do you talk AT ALL?
-Join a freakin' club already!
-Pity. Got years of hard work ahead, and basically no privileges in the school. LOL, they have to sit on the ground instead of the bleachers during assemblies.
-Our school didn't plan on so many students, so quite a number didn't get assigned lockers this year...OUCH.
-Whiny = annoying. Stoic = commendable. Very.</p>
<p>Sophomores -
-Hello? You there? ...<em>cricket chirps</em>...
-Really, as a class, they are largely ignored at our school.
-Except when they are being obnoxious to the freshmen. Us juniors and senior then pull them of the freshmen's backs.
-When you sign up for a club, you ought to come to the meetings every once in a while. Even once in a blue moon would work!</p>
<p>Juniors -
-We have no life. EVER. And we don't really remember ever having one.
-This year sucks like a vacuum. As in, your life, freedom, will, fun, spirit, etc.
-Does the word "zombified" mean anything to you? How 'bout "brainwashed"?
-ARGH! There goes that sophomore beating up on the freshmen again. GROW UP!
-Does ANYONE join a club for a reason OTHER than to write on a college app?
-...s~l~e~e~p~y...
-Can drive. Can also crash into the school sign, flagpost, fence, etc...</p>
<p>Seniors -
-ENVY. AS IN VIVIDLY GREEN.
-...It's not nice to condescend to us juniors. Why don't you people condescend to the other underclassmen?
-Above probably because they hated junior year, too.
-Hey, just because you're going to college next year doesn't mean you ought to drop out of everything remotely related to high school!
-Most of our club presidents are seniors. Most of our club presidents show up at one club meeting per year; one per semester on leap years that coincide with the years in which cicadas emerge from their burrows (17 year cycle)...if we're lucky.
-Ratio of drivers to crashing ISN'T near one-to-one...
-...Get out of here before I smash this sledgehammer into your skull for having survived junior year.</p>
