<p>How much do upward trends in grades really matter for colleges</p>

<p>For example, my first semester sophomore weighted gpa was 3.0, second semester 3.6, and then 4.0's both semesters for junior year for a total weighted of only 3.68 :. But then again, everyone says junior year is the most important grade wise.</p>

<p>I plan to apply and hopefully attend one of the mid level UC's. </p>

<p>Will they definitely notice this increase in grades, or will they just quickly skim the app and just look at final gpa.</p>

<p>I'm going through the EXACT same thing, except that I'm planning on applying to very competitive schools. Ya, I know, I'm a dreamer. But I think that no matter what, you should apply. You never know what can happen...</p>

<p>The school profile will help with that. Gives scores on AP's, SAT's, SATII's, grades etc., so colleges can do comparisons.</p>
