Urban campuses with green space

Tulane in New Orleans. Washington University in St. Louis. Is Wellesley urban enough?

Davis is up the road from San Fran and Sacramento

Davis is about 10 miles away from Sacramento and close to 70 miles from San Francisco. It’s about 15 miles from the actually interesting parts of Sacramento. It’s not what I’d consider “up the road”.

In california traffic, Davis is UP the road -trains are available. SF is a large metro area.

USoCal is very urban but does have lots of lovely green space.

U of Pittsburgh

^^^Also CMU right next door

schools just outside a city like swarthmore or university of maryland often have more green space. american university also has quite a bit. university of pennsylvania is right in philly and still has some green.

If you give an idea of your stats, we can target schools that make sense for you.

What do you mean by “the amenities provided by a large city”? You need to be more specific. Does walkability count as one of the amenities?

To me, a lot of the suggestions mentioned already (Nashville, Eugene, etc.) just don’t cut it (not even close) but I grew up in Hong Kong so my bar for what’s considered “urban and large” may be higher. You may be different.
