<p>Is there a possibility of doing Urban Studies at Amherst. I know the list of majors does not have it. Can anyone from Amherst help out here? Would D do a combination of majors such as Environmental Studies/ Political Science?</p>

<p>Amherst does not offer a major in urban studies, but there is the option of designing your own major. Students combine up to three disciplines to create their specialized area of study, an “interdisciplinary major.” </p>
<p>You might also look into courses at the other 5 Colleges; I’ve heard anecdotal mention of urban studies-type courses at Smith, and I would imagine UMass and the other schools (Mt Holyoke, Hampshire) offer related courses.</p>
