[URGENT] Chance me for *Data Science Masters*

I am an international student applying for Data Science master’s programs.

Here is my information:

  • Major: Computer Science
  • GPA: 3.76/4.0
  • Major GPA: 3.64/4.0
  • GRE: 324 (V:158, Q:166, W:4.5)
  • 2 Data internships + 1 research assistantship
    • Data Analyst intern (2 months) at a pretty big international company (it’s well known in my region but so much elsewhere)
    • Data Science intern (3 months) at start-up A
    • Head of international business (3 months) at start-up A
    • Research Assistant at the university data science lab
  • 3 academic recommendation letters from different well-known institutions
  • Not the best but decent personal statement
  • 2 years of mandatory military service (not data-related)
  • Won 1st place in a business competition hosted by a big company
  • Decent Github portfolio

I have already applied to:

Stanford, Harvard, Carnegie, Oxford

I am debating whether I should apply to:

MIT, NYU, Columbia, UCL, Imperial, King’s College

Please chance me at these schools! I am also curious if I’d have a chance at getting scholarship/funding for any of the options I have. Please let me know and thanks in advance :smiley:

Why is this urgent….and how much funding do you need?

Grad school funding is largely merit based. It is awarded based on the strength of your application AND the programs desire to have you as part of the cohort. Grad school funding comes in the form of assistantships, fellowships, scholarships, grants, sometimes work study, and loans.

I’m not an expert in this field at the grad level…but I think your list is top heavy unless one of your undergrad professors has a relationship with someone in one of these programs, and says you would be a top student for the program.
